The North Carolina School of Traditional Music is dedicated to promoting the Appalachian, Piedmont, and Celtic musical traditions of our state. Located in Durham, N.C., we teach private and group lessons, organize workshops and camps, sponsor a house concert series, and operate a small traditional music shop.

We specialize in helping beginners make the first steps in their own musical journey and we hope you will come and join us!
